How I came to be...An American in King Bladud's Bath

My hubby lateraled through his company to Bath, UK.  Since I am riding on his visa coattails and cannot work, I volunteer at the Bath Cat & Dog Rescue. This is approximately a 2 mile hike--uphill--meaning I have some time to look at the scenery, marvel at it all, and think.

I think about things like cultural differences.  How Americans respond to certain situations differently than those in the UK.  How the flat we live in is older than the US.  Exploring not just Bath, but other parts of the UK, what I've seen, what I want to share.  So, I thought a blog would be a good place to post pictures and stories about the places I've been, a little bit of history and probably a lot of speculation.  My thoughts on the differences between the US and UK.  My experiences living here--and while I'm bound to insult people on both sides with my commentary--it's not intentional. These are my viewpoints and if you do not agree that is fine.  If you feel moved to post, wonderful, but please post something other than "You are an utter and complete moron" and at least explain why I am.

That's the only way for both of us to learn something useful.

Since I'm just starting I am sure I will forget something important I had meant to include in a blog so there will probably--no, definitely--be many Part 2's and 3's.  I'm from the Little Billy School of Composition.   Those of you familiar with the cartoon strip 'Family Circus' will understand.
